Bank Accounts — Permissions

Overview

This page documents the permissions used in the Bank Accounts feature. Permissions determine which tabs a user can access and which actions are available within them.

For general access concepts and permission categories, see: Permissions & Access

Permissions by transaction

Permission Grants access to
view Access /banks-accounts; all three tabs (Banks, Accounts, Cards); View row action on banks; View cards and View transactions row actions on accounts; View, View transactions, and Logs row actions on cards
edit New bank / New account / New card (from within the View cards modal and from the Cards tab); Edit on all three entity types; Deactivate / Activate on all three entity types

Note

The edit permission controls all write actions across all three tabs. There is no separate permission per tab.

Typical role mapping

  • Finance administrator

    • view
    • edit
  • Finance viewer / auditor

    • view

Troubleshooting access

  • If the Banks and Accounts screen is not visible in the menu, the view permission is missing.
  • If New bank, New account, or New card buttons are not visible, the edit permission is missing.
  • If Deactivate/Activate is not shown for an account or card, check whether the parent record (bank or account) is ACTV — the action is hidden when the parent is inactive, regardless of permissions.
