Surveys — Permissions

Overview

This page documents the permissions used in the Surveys feature. Surveys uses two separate permission modules: Surveys (the administration screen) and My surveys (the employee-facing screen).

Permissions by transaction

Usage

Permission Grants access to
view Access the Survey Administration screen (/surveys). View all surveys, preview survey content, and access response screens.

Workflows

edit Create new surveys (/new-survey), edit surveys with no responses, reuse surveys that have responses, activate/deactivate surveys, and send surveys to collaborators. view

Usage

Permission Grants access to
view Access the My Surveys screen (/my-surveys). View pending and completed surveys assigned to the logged-in collaborator, answer pending surveys, and review previously submitted answers.

Troubleshooting access

  • If the Survey Administration option is missing from the menu, the user is missing the view permission for the Surveys module.
  • If the + New Survey button or the Edit, Reuse, Activate/Deactivate, and Send survey actions are not visible, the user is missing the edit permission for the Surveys module.
  • If My Surveys is missing from the menu, the user is missing the view permission for the My surveys module.
  • If a collaborator does not see a survey in My Surveys, it either has not been sent to them yet, or the survey has been deactivated.
