Warehouse — Permissions

Overview

This page documents the permissions used in the Warehouse feature. Permissions determine who can view the location catalog and who can create, edit, or manage locations and location types.

Permissions by transaction

Module name: "Warehouse"

Permission Grants access to
view Access /warehouse; view the full location list; open the View modal for any location.
edit New location button; Edit row action (ACTV locations only); Logs row action; Deactivate / Activate row action; Location types button and all type management actions (New type, Edit, Deactivate, Activate).

Typical role mapping

  • Inventory / Warehouse administrator

  • Inventory staff (read-only reference)

Troubleshooting access

  • If the Warehouse menu item is not visible, the user is missing the view permission.
  • If the New location button, Edit action, or Location types button are not visible, the user is missing the edit permission.
  • If a location cannot be edited, confirm it is in ACTV status — editing is only available for active locations.
  • To request access, contact your supervisor or system administrator.
